The prices might be a little higher, but most of the time they are the same or slightly cheaper. The way Cashway sets itself apart from Lowe's or Home Depot is that there is someone there who can help you and knows where to find stuff in the store. You don't need to ask 3 different people and walk 5 laps around the store following someone around who is clueless. You will be greeted, offered assistance, and leave Cashway's feeling happy and ready to go back again for a hassle free visit.
I've been going to them for almost 18 years with my family. I remember the first time I went and their service has always been exceptional and everyone who works there has always been incredible knowledable. Unlike home depot or Lowes.
